Headline in all caps, please: A NEW EXPANSE GAME HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED
Owlcat Games and Alcon Interactive Group have announced The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, once again pulling me back into the amazing universe of the books. The game is essentially tangential to the TV series, taking place within its lore to expand on what we know and don’t know. The game will focus on a mecernary stuck on the asteroid Eros during a lockdown, when strange things start to unfold. Eventually, we will have to gather a crew, steal a ship, and navigate across the solar system as things are falling apart.
Designed as an action RPG, the game will have us in combat, exploring, and even visiting cities and hubs where we will look for information and improve our abilities and equipment.
The space opera of the Expanse is rich in detail and opportunity for storytelling, something that the original creators of the series of novels always intended, so these in-lore experiences continue to flesh out the already deep story and how it affects every single human — and humanity’s future.

I’m sharing all of these screens because, um, LOOK AT THIS. FELLOW EXPANSE FANS, LOOK AT THIS.
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is set to arrive on PC, PlayStation and Xbox — but hopefully before it’s too late for humanity.
