#FollowFriday: Geoff Keighley @geoffkeighley

If you’re a Twitter user, then I’m sure by now you’ve seen the weekly #ff hashtag show up. The tag, which is a shortened form of #followfriday, indicates the Tweeter’s (Twitterer? Tweetist?) showcase of recommended people to follow. Our team at SideQuesting follows several great people in the gaming industry, from journalists to developers, critics to other gamers, and we’d love to share these folks with you

Each week, we’ll plan on selecting one interesting person in the industry to follow on Twitter for a variety of reasons. Thus far, we’ve featured the likes of Jim Sterling, Ben Kuchera, and Ken Levine, to name a few. Think of it like solving the hardest puzzle in Portal 2, and then receiving a giant, golden trophy from Valve itself. Come back each Friday to see who gets the award.

This week’s “person who set Twitter on fire” is Geoff Keighley, host of GTTV.

Arguably the hardest-working games journalist right now, Geoff Keighley not only plans and hosts the most popular weekly TV program about the video game industry but he also writes, flies, and produces unimaginable amounts of gaming-related content.  He’s extremely knowledgeable about the industry as well, often adding in analysis about a variety of topics, like what might happen for Nintendo at E3 this year.  The dude don’t sleep.

Recently, Keighley released a project that he had been working on for months: The Final Hours of Portal 2.  The iPad app details how Portal 2 came together, and in the lead-up to its release Keighley was getting visibly excited.  The app turned out wonderfully, and since then Geoff has been thanking nearly everyone who sent along their praise.

Geoff, you’re both the person we envy most and, come E3, envy least.  Pump a Jersey Shore fist in the air and let the Twitterverse know: This week, you are THE MAN.
